Happy Father's Day

For Father's Day, Megan gave her daddy an outfit that expressed how much she loves him :-)

And still more vomit

When I went to feed Megan at lunch, I had a feeling that I fed her more than usual. About 30 minutes after I got back to work, day care called. Megan had more projectile vomit and it looked like there was blueberries in it (according to them). Since she only drinks milk, I told them that I wanted to come check it out. After a trip to the dr, we figured out that we were seeing her medicine come back up. The doctor told me that the medicine Megan is taking won't make her vomit less. It will just make it less acidic so it doesn't hurt as much. Poor Megan.

More vomit

Shawn went to get Megan from the pack n play and thought she had gone to the bathroom through her clothes because she was wet. When he picked her up, we realized that she had spit up all over her clothes and the sheets.

Laughing

I was playing the toddler music channel and the ants marching song came on. I started to sing and march with Megan and she was laughing her head off. It was sooo much fun to listen to!!

More Projectile

So Megan threw up again all over the place. (The couch, the carpet, Shawn) We called the doctor and they had me bring her in. This time she saw her regular doctor who is going to have her try prevacid for 30 days to see if it helps. I'm hoping!

Another Birthday Party

Alex, a boy in Megan's class had his 1st Birthday party today. Poor Megan had another episode of projectile vomit this morning. We gave her a bath so she at least went to the party clean. Everyone loved her and Alex's grandmother held her so Shawn and I could eat. There was a ton of food and the cake was yummy. The party was 4 hours long and Megan fell asleep about 1 1/2 hours into it so the three of us left after we had cake. I was hoping to watch some of the gifts get opened but we wanted to get Megan home.

Guess who stole Megan's snot sucker?

Megan sick?

Megan has had projectile vomit/spit up in our house two times. I didn't think much of it because I expected it every once in a while. When we were in Toledo for the naming, she did it 4 times at my sister's house. I called the doctor and they said to feed her fewer ounces more frequently. So she went back to day care on Wed and everything was fine. On Thursday she did it again right before I picked her up. Well, when she did it again on Friday day care asked me to take her to the doctor. I called the doctor's office and they said to just come right in. The doctor looked at her for a few minutes and decided that he wanted her to have an ultrasound to see if she has an obstruction. He thought it was unlikely, but could be serious and require surgery. I was pretty sure he was overreacting, but off we went to the other clinic for the ultrasound. Sure enough, the tech saw that everything was fine. They again repeated, few ounces and more frequent feedings. They also said to hold her upright for 30-45 minutes after eating. The weekend was great but we exclusively bottle fed. Monday morning I decided to nurse again. I weighed her before and after and she had eaten 6 ounces. That was after I limited her time! Well, she spit up a little bit but nothing projectile. She then had no problems at day care today. Hopefully this is the end of the projections!

Playing with godmother

Godmother Judi couldn't make it to the naming but she wouldn't miss a chance to visit with Megan. She met up with us as soon as she got back into town.
