Silly Megan

When we go to the doctor's office and Megan gets on the big scale, she tends to hold on to the scale which gives an inaccurate weight.  We have been practicing putting our arms in the air when we get on the scale to get a correct reading.

When I take Megan's picture, sometimes I am trying to get a picture of the cute shirt and she often has her arms covering the shirt.  When this happens, I have Megan put her hands in the air when I take a picture.

The other morning Megan pulls out the scale, steps on it, puts her hands in the air and says "cheese".  How adorable!

Cinderella

To be honest, I'm only wearing this because my mom likes her. I don't even know who Cinderella is! Image and video hosting by TinyPic Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Parent/Teacher conferences

Daycare had parent/teacher conferences today.  Megan got a great report!  Her self confidence is higher and she is doing better after she is dropped of in the morning.  The first week she was in her new class, Megan would occasionally cry for mommy or daddy during the day.  Now she doesn't do that anymore.  Megan's teacher said that she is a good model for the other kids.  She comforts some of them when they are sad and does a good job keeping her hands to herself.  (I took that to mean not hitting and/or biting.)

When I shared some of the not so nice behaviors that Megan has at home, I was happy to hear that the teachers never see any of it.  They said that Megan is very happy and they never see her frustrated or angry.

Ear Check Up

Megan went to see the ENT today and he said the left tube was no longer in place.  Tubes last 9-18 months and she had hers for 1 year.  Since it was no longer in position, the doctor pulled the left tube out.  Megan was so brave so the nurse gave her a Mickey Mouse sticker!

The doctor thought Megan's records only showed 1 ear infection over the last year and with it being warm now, he thought we would not need to replace the tube.

We will see the doctor again in 6 months for another checkup.

New Bike

Parker and Anna were nice enough to send Megan a bicycle.  It didn't take long before Megan decided she wanted to ride it.  She doesn't understand how to pedal yet but she loves when we push her.

Even though I figured Megan wouldn't get hurt too badly if she fell, I didn't want her to get in to the bad habit of riding a bike without a helmet.  Luckily, I remembered our neighbor had given us a helmet.  Even if it doesn't fit Megan quite right, she is practicing being safe while biking.
