Too funny

We have always known that our cat loves to chase the red laser lights. What we didn't know is that Megan would think that watching the cat was the funniest thing in the world. Shawn was moving the light around and Megan was just cracking up watching the cat pounce on the light.

Megan crawled

As I was upstairs getting ready for Megan's swimming lessons, Shawn was downstiars with my mom putting out a trail of cheerios to encourage Megan to crawl. She finally did it! When I got downstairs, I got to see my baby finally crawling. My mom got the first crawl on video which was great!

Bubbie's Visit

My mom came to visit today. As I was leaving work to pick mom up at the airport, day care called. The medicine had upset Megan's stomach so much that she had thrown up. She was kicked out of daycare for the day and I had to get her immediately. So I ran to daycare, got Megan and then we both went to the airport to get her Bubbie. I was happy that my mom got to see Megan right away but I hated that it was because Megan was sick!

Ear Infection

I was really hoping it was "a case of paranoid mom" but I took Megan to the doctor again and discovered it was another ear infection. We got the strong medicine again which really upsets Megan's stomach. I feel so bad for her but at least we got probiotics this time.

Second swimming class

We went to the YMCA today for class #2. As soon as we got to the pool area, Megan immediately started to cuddle up to me again. I don't know if the chlorine was bothering her or if she was scared because she remembered last week.

When I walked into the water, it was significantly colder than the week before. Megan whimpered in the water but didn't fully cry. She did a great job splashing around but her lip was quivering throughout class.

As soon as it was over, I took her to the shallow family pool which was much warmer. She sat on the bottom of the pool and splashed around happily.

As we left, I mentioned to the front desk that the water temperature was very cold. Even the instructor kept rubbing her arms to warm up. I had to keep moving around to stay warm. Just standing in the water was too cold.

Hopefully next week will be better!

I love my Disney Princess! Megan is doing a great job moving all around.









And standing with a little help

No crawling yet but

So Megan may not be crawling yet, but she can definitely get where she wants to go. Between crawling backwards and rolling, she can get anywhere. When Megan is on her belly, she is able to turn around and face a different direction. She is also able to move back and forth between laying down and sitting up. She even impressed her teachers this morning with sitting herself up from laying down. It was the first time they had seen it.

Swimming lessons

I have wanted to have Megan take swimming lessons since before she was even 6 months. When I was at the YMCA on Tuesday, I signed us up for Saturday lessons. We missed the first class but they said it wasn't that big of a deal. Megan was all smiles in her little swimsuit. The second her foot hit the water, she started to cry a little. She spent most of the class cuddling into me and crying a little. I hope that she likes the next class better. Some of the other parents said their kids were that way at the first class.

Megan spent the wedding in a little room off the front of the stage at the church. She could watch the wedding but nobody could hear her. After the ceremony, we changed her into her fancy clothes for pictures. After that, Megan went back to the house with the babysitter while mom and dad went to the reception.

Today was a very special day, not only did Megan turn 10 months





But Megan attended her first wedding

I finally pulled some of Megan's 12 month clothes out of the closet to wear. Some of the 9 month still fits, but I thought it was time to move up.

Moving Around

Megan may not be crawling yet, but she has discovered that she can roll to reach what she wants. She started last night and has been doing it all day today.
