New car seats

Caitlin has outgrown her infant car seat so we decided to give her Megan's convertible car seat. She was so cute and excited when I put her in it today when I picked her up from school.

Megan was upgraded to a combination harness 2 booster seat. She also seemed excited to move up into her big girl seat.

My girls are growing!

Done nursing Caitlin

I have decided to be done nursing Caitlin. For the past month or so I have just been nursing her one time in the morning when she wakes up. I haven't nursed or pumped any other time during the day. I have loved that she still wants to nurse and I love bonding with her. Megan decided to stop nursing some time around 10 months so I have enjoyed the extra time with Caitlin.

To make sure that I'm not tempted to nurse Caitlin any more, Shawn and I am going out of town for the weekend and leaving the kids with grandma and grandpa!

I think Caitlin should adjust quickly. When she started her new daycare, we sent bottles with her the first week and she only used it one day. By week two, we were not longer sending bottles because Caitlin is so good with the sippy cup and didn't seem to need a bottle.

She is getting one bottle before bed and I think we will keep that going for a little while longer until she adjusts to not nursing in the morning.

Second Word Already!

While I was on the computer working on making updates to the blog, Caitlin came in to visit me. When Shawn picked her up to go in the other room, she started waving and saying bye bye bye.

Caitlin's First Word

Caitlin has been babbling and making lots of fun sounds like mamama and dadada and bababa.

But I think she finally has said her first word. "More" When we have been eating at the table she has been reaching for a food and saying maw maw maw and then she signs more if she doesn't get it right away.

Today she said maw maw maw and Shawn said no more. Caitlin got a super sad face and then started crying. Even though we felt bad, it was so cute.

It is a little tough to hear her say something that is so close to mom and not have her be referring to me. But I'm sure mom will come very soon!
