Even though my due date isn't until January 9th, the doctor scheduled an induction for January 8th at 7:30 pm.
She had plans to go out of town at the end of the week and I was starting to get uncomfortable so we went ahead and planned the date.
While I was there the doctor also "stripped my membranes" thinking that labor would start over the weekend.
The nice part about having a date scheduled is that I could make Friday my last day of work. If baby comes over the weekend, great. If not, I can just use vacation for Monday knowing that I should have a baby by Tuesday/Wednesday.
It is nice to have a scheduled last day of work!
